Easter Peep Craft You’ll Love

Easter peeps are a great way to add whimsy to your Easter Decor. They are so easy and fun to make. Make them yourself or with the kids. You can add them to wreaths, flower arrangements, and of course a basket or container of some sort. This post contains some affiliate links for your crafting convenience.

DIY Easter Peep Tutorial

In this video, we are creating a Spring flower arrangement. Choose a color pallet that you want to use, I used corals and yellow-greens. Here’s how to make it:

  • Find a free peep template on Google and size it to what you want.
  • Trace the template on the felt twice and cut it out.

  • Place them on top of each other and stitch. I used a blanket stitch
  • Leave a small opening so you can fill it with the poly filling. I like to stuff it pretty full and then stitch up the opening.
  • I pour just a small amount of paint out on a paper plate and with a dry brush, I dip in the paint and remove the excess by brushing back and forth on the plate. You want just a little paint on the brush to gently brush on bunny cheeks. I move my brush in a circular motion.

  • I take the puff paint and squirt a little on the plate first. You might want to practice making dots a few times on the plate before doing this on the felt. Then look to see where you want to put the eyes and nose. Gently squeeze paint not lifting the tip from the felt until you have the size dot you want. Let paint completely dry. It might take overnight.
  • Then embellish the bunny with trim, ribbon, rhinestones, flower, or bow.
